Description: This presentation will provide an overview of the major changes under the ENERGY STAR Multifamily New Construction program and impact on New Jersey Clean Energy Program (NJCEP) participation. Architects play a critical role in the building design, documentation and administration process. This session is designed to give you key takeaways in planning for your next project.

The ENERGY STAR Multifamily New Construction (MFNC) will apply to all residential multifamily projects permitted after (TBD). They have introduced more stringent criteria in certain areas and introduced a revamped decision tree. Ownership and project teams will need to decide which path best suits their project and building goals, also where there is alignment or clashing of goals and budgets.

Furthermore, the NJCEP offers robust funding for projects that achieve certification under these programs. This session is designed to give you the understanding, tips and tools necessary to navigate these complex and ever changing design standards through state and national programs.
